I love being able to transform.
Inhabiting parts of myself that are ugly, messy, flawed and deeply emotional - sharing all of that complexity in service of telling a story. I like creating art out of my mess.
I like playing characters that are complex, unlikable on the surface even. Exploring people who are not always seen - characters who have more to them than meets the eye.
I love for people to see my work and feel a sense of connection… like they're being represented or that their experience has been validated by virtue of witnessing my character's journey.
I believe in the power of storytelling to change how people see themselves and to change how people see the world. I think storytelling is one of the greatest gifts that we have as human beings.
To create in a room of artists who inspire each other, fostering a sense of community so that we can be brave together, play together, and dive head first into bold risk-taking that is unapologetic and truthful... that is where I feel the most alive.
