I love being able to transform.

Inhabiting parts of myself that are ugly, messy, flawed and deeply emotional  - sharing all of that complexity in service of telling a story. I like creating art out of my mess.

I am drawn to characters that are layered, complex, unlikable on the surface even. Exploring people who are not always seen - characters who have more to them than meets the eye.

I am humbled by the way that art is a vehicle for connection and shared humanity. I believe in the power of storytelling to change how people see themselves and to change how people see the world. I think storytelling is one of the greatest gifts that we have as human beings. The ability to imagine possibilities, circumstances, and life beyond what we know. To foster empathy… in a world where it is becoming increasingly scarce.

Creating in a room of artists who inspire each other, cultivating a sense of community so that we can be brave together, play together, and dive head first into bold risk-taking that is unapologetic and truthful... that is where I feel the most alive.
